En San Mateo tenemos un gran número de filigreses hispanos, que forman gran parte en terminos de población, ministerios, finanza, y diversidad cultural de la iglesia. Celebramos la Eucaristía en español cada domingo a las 12:30 pm, y tenemos planeado añadir una misa más en el futuro. Nuestra clase de inglés como segunda lengua (ESL) sirve a los feligreses que quieren aprender inglés. También celebramos diversos festivales, los cuales sirven para promover las riquezas de la diversidad cultural en nuestra parroquia.
Hoy en día un promedio de quinientas cincuenta personas asisten a la misa en español cada domingo y la asistencia sigue creciendo. Hemos sido capaces de establecer todos los ministerios necesarios en español y atender a los feligreses a medida que continuamos creciendo.
In St. Matthew, we have a large group of Hispanic parishioners, and it makes up an important part of our church in terms of population, ministries, finance, and cultural diversity. We celebrate the Eucharist in Spanish each Sunday at 12:30 pm, and another Mass is planned for near future. Our ESL class serves new comers who are in need of learning English. We celebrate several Hispanic Festivals which helps to bring the richness of cultural diversity in our parish.
Today, an average of five hundred fifty persons attends the Spanish Mass on any given Sunday, and the attendance continues to grow. We have been able to establish all the necessary ministries in Spanish and tend to the parishioners as we continue to grow.
