Life is a precious gift.  From the moment of conception until the day the Lord calls us home, each day is a gift and an opportunity to bring God’s light into the world.  Even the tiniest of us –  unborn little boys and girls – have a purpose in God’s eyes are created to do His will as they grow from conception through adulthood.  That’s why it’s so important to stand up for the most vulnerable – those children who do not yet have a voice – and to support women so they can choose life for their child.  Even in the most difficult circumstances, we can stand with these women through our local crisis pregnancy centers and other support systems to help them choose life.

Here are some of the ways The St. Matthew Pro-Life Ministry stands for life:

• By supporting our local crisis pregnancy center through the annual Walk for Life, the Mother’s Day Rose Sale, the annual Celebrate Life Banquet, and our Mother’s Day Baby Shower.
• Commemorating Respect Life Month during October and the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision in January with special activities, education, and prayer intentions.
• Holding prayer vigils and special events throughout the year as inspired by the Diocese or current events.
• And so much more – bring your ideas!
  
  

There are no required monthly meetings to belong to this ministry.  Those interested in helping out can choose which activities they would like to participate in throughout the year.
